FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW LONG DO EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST? THE BASICS
If you’re wondering how long eyelash extensions last, it depends…
Most eyelash extensions look great for for the first week up 2-3 weeks. During that time, the extensions will still look and feel full and fluffy. If you take proper care of your lash extensions, they can last longer. After your lashes stop looking and feeling great, you’ll need to return to your lash artist for a relash-up.
Do eyelash extensions ruin your natural lashes?
There is a myth that eyelash extensions may ruin your natural lashes. However, when lashes are professionally applied using high quality glue, products and the client continues to look after them, no pulling or tagging, there will be no damage.
Can I swim or shower with my eyelash extensions?
You can, at least 24 hours after your appointment. Our lash adhesive takes 12 hours to fully dry. It’s important that you’re gentle with your lashes and make sure that no water touches them during this time. Swimmers, gym, and spa goers may find infills are needed sooner than others due to the lashes getting wet more often.
Can you wear eye makeup with eyelash extensions?
Yes! We do not recommend using mascara with lash extensions. Do not use eyelash curlers or apply strip lashes on top of extensions As for eyeliner, avoid using cream-based formulas. They often contain oils and waxes that can break down the lash glue.
If I do wear eye makeup, how shall I remove it?
We recommend micellar water or baby shampoo. Gently swipe downward, rather than back and forth, to get your lids and lashes clean. And whatever you do, avoid rubbing or tugging at your eyes.
Can you wash your eyes with eyelash extensions?
Only use water or diluted baby shampoo. Other products may contain ingredients that can weaken the bond of your lash extensions and cause them to shed prematurely.
Should you brush your lash extensions?
Lashes can get tangled when you’re sleeping or showering, so it’s required that you gently brush your lashes with a clean ‘spoolie’ brush when you wake up, after you shower (dry lashes first) and at the end of the day. To prevent unnecessary tangling, try to sleep on your back or side (not your stomach).
